According to researchers, pilates can be beneficial for treating high blood pressure. It is a type of physical activity oriented to body posture, core strength, flexibility, and breathing. A study on a group of obese patients showed that three sessions per week resulted in a substantive decrease in blood pressure. However, the study did not focus on the reason why pilates lowered blood pressure.
